Working in the electronics and communications industries comes naturally to me - my parents started Kuhne Electronics in 1994 developing high-frequency assemblies for industrial use. Although surrounded by electronics growing up, I always had an interest in the more creative side of things, like website design and marketing. This would stand me in good stead later on as I began carving out a career for myself. Kuhne Electronics is now one of six entities within Alaris, The RF Technology Group. Its diverse product spectrum ranges from highly linear power amplifiers for digital television and super-low-noise preamplifiers for research in the field of radio astronomy, to bidirectional amplifiers and signal generators for RF heating and plasma generation.This dovetails perfectly with the other entities in the Group, namely:- Alaris Antennas - supplying advanced Electronic Warfare antennas for the global defence and security markets.- Alaris CoJot – designing and developing omnidirectional VHF/UHF/SHF wideband antennas and accessories.- Alaris Linwave – specialists in the supply of custom microwave integrated modules for harsh environments. - Alaris mWave – a leading global provider of innovative commercial and custom microwave antenna and feed solutions.- Alaris USA – delivering high-quality antenna solutions for the electronic warfare, spectrum monitoring and communications markets.In 2021 I was offered the CMO role at Alaris, The RF Technology Group. For a creative person with a technical background – and a licenced amateur radio operator - this is the perfect role. It seamlessly combines two of my greatest passions – exploring the varied applications in which our products can be used, and helping the different entities within the group communicate their benefits to the market.It’s exciting to be part of an organisation like Alaris.
