I advanced the radiative transfer code TRAPHIC that I invented during my PhD into a full 3d radiation-hydrodynamical code covering all relevant processes of galaxy formation. I applied the code at scale (100s of cores) to simulate the universe and address some of the main open questions regarding the formation of the first stars lightening up shortly after.

I invented and implemented TRAPHIC, an innovative numerical method to transport radiation in HPC simulations of galaxy formation.
