I'm an independent consultant based in Hamburg, Germany.I have a software development background, though these days I typically take on the role of a requirement engineer or product owner. I'm generally in favour of applying agile methods and I've been using Scrum more or less for a decade. I'm interested in helping customers become more agile in their project business.I'm also interested in software patterns and I'm a long-term member of the European patterns community. This book presents a set of patterns on how software project documentation can be done in an agile way. The overall idea is to provide good documentation, but only if it serves a clear purpose. It's essential that documentation not be written for its own sake.- Where Code and Content Meet (2009). This book offers a variety of design patterns for the development of custom software to be used in projects where an advanced web site is developed or maintained, with underlying content management, dynamic content delivery and personalisation.- Dokumentation in agilen Projekten (2013, German language). This book places the focus on the integration of documentation into development methods such as Scrum or Kanban. The book contains patterns that explain what a good documentation can look like and how it can be done in an agile fashion.- Gute Entscheidungen in IT-Projekten (2019, German language). Motivated by the findings of cognitive sciences, this book presents proven practices on how to improve decision-making processes in the presence of cognitive biases. The book also explains how these practices can be integrated into agile development methods.
