The Educational Association of Athens "HFAISTOS" is a non-governmental, non-profit educational association founded in 1935 aiming to provide vocational education and training for crafts. This historical association is based in Athens, Agios Eleftherios area and owns a building compound of 4.500 sq.m. that have been supported from " The Marshall Plan" after World War II. During 1950-1980, HFAISTOS’ graduates from various vocational occupations worked in several productive sectors contributing to the rapid economic development and industrialization of the country with their technical knowledge and skills. Nowadays, with a view to respond to modern challenges, HFAISTOS is planning to be transformed to a professional training hub in its premises with a focus on social innovation and inclusive entrepreneurship. The revival vision of HFAISTOS is to become a VET, crafts and nonformal training hub for adults in Greece and South Eastern Europe.

Academy Of Entrepreneurship was founded in 2007 by the historical Educational Association of Athens “HFAISTOS” and it works closely with the GEW Host in Greece the Federation of the Hellenic Associations of Young Entrepreneurs , aiming at the creation of a healthier entrepreneurial environment on a national and European level, and trying to support young people who wish to make their innovative entrepreneurial ideas come true. AKEP’s main objective is the cultivation of the essential entrepreneurial attitude and transfer of the necessary knowledge to young entrepreneurs who are now entering the labour market and to already active entrepreneurs, wishing to establish themselves and expand their operations both within Greece and abroad.
