I am currently holding a position associate professor at the TU Graz in Austria. The research performed in my group spans over applications of computational chemistry and molecular dynamics simulations to a broad selection of problems (cluster physics, catalysis, gas separation and storage, porous materials, chiral separation, molecular sieving, quantum technologies), fundamental concepts of molecular spectroscopy, and method development with a special focus on machine learning implementations.

I was employed at UC Berkeley as a joint postdoc in the groups of Prof. Martin Head-Gordon and Prof. Alex T. Bell. My research was focusing on new nanoscale materials (transition metal clusters, graphene, supported metal complexes) for applications in the field of heterogeneous catalysis and gas separation.

At Massey University I investigated nanoporous materials for gas separation and storage using different methods of electronic structure theory.

In Graz I worked on theoretical models for the description of electronically excited states in small metal clusters and helped my colleagues with the interpretation of molecular spectra with special focus on spin-orbit and non-adiabatic coupling.
