I have many skills and accomplishments that reflect my successful teaching career. I continue to be a Professional Learning Community Leader today. I have taken a leadership role in my school district as an Instructional Coach with expertise in science, STEAM, Project-Based Learning, conceptual math, building student relationships, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). I have been trained in and implemented NGSS cross-curricular lesson design as well as Project Based Learning. I have effectively implement technology throughout my lessons and now train others on how to use technology in the classroom to support student learning and engagement. I have the ability to design and implement innovative lessons that engage students and promote optimal learning. Based on these skills and experience, I am highly qualified to teach Curriculum Design in STEAM, as well as other STEAM related courses and 21st Century Curriculum. Throughout my career, I have been recognized for impacting student achievement, my leadership skills, and implementing new and innovative programs. I was awarded Teacher of The Year in grades 4-6 for Stanislaus County in 2015. I was able to grow professionally and showcase my strengths as a teacher where students are at the center of learning. I have had many opportunities to offer professional development at district and site levels to my adult colleagues. I have presented at many conferences including Stanislaus County Office of Education MATHCON, ETC, and the National CUE conference. I have an energetic style that includes excellent public speaking skills that engage my audience.
