My role is to shape Syngenta Group’s agenda on Nature & Climate and to critically review the latest scientific literature and emerging trends regarding climate and nature, sustainable agriculture and soil health in the context of the agriculture industry and consolidate findings into actionable guidance.

The products and services of the company are related to agriculture, especially to plant protection. Our vision is to contribute to sustainable agricultural production through the reduction of the dependence on the use of pesticide in agricultural production. Our research projects aim to develop decision support systems for advisors and farmers, that models when and where pest problems appears in the field and tools for researchers and universities to monitor pest populations more efficiently. Our trainings and advisory service promotes environmentally friendly production technologies and integrated pest management based on the agro-ecosystem. Recently, the company started focusing on soil health and on the ways to recycle wool for agricultural purposes. Project: Global alternativesMy task was to carry out a global literature review and expert evaluation to identify IPM tools alternative to systemic pesticides in arable crops.
