I am a queer, Latina, mixed-methods researcher interested in bridging the gap between social inequities—including race and ethnicity, gender identity, and sexual orientation—and the practice of human rights to critically analyze contemporary challenges. My interests focus on minorities and LGBTQ+ populations, the health outcomes of Hispanics and Latinos, and HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention.I am also passionate about leadership and creating an inclusive work environment where we can all feel safe in expressing our true selves. As co-chair of RTI International's Una Comunidad Employee Resource Group (ERG), I support and promote Hispanic culture among staff, RTI leadership, other ERGs, and our community.
