Following a requested consultation in November 2009, I was asked to come aboard as their online marketing specialist. I found myself in a company where it was an open slate.... Here is a sampling of what's been going on:There was no affiliate program to speak ofNo email marketing going on Very little copy to compel a user to both understand the nature of the site AND turn that visitor into a customer. No landing pages to collect leads or convert to salesNo google adwords campaigns being run.No content being created There was no relationships with websites that could be evangelists for our products.No videos promoting the products The user experience was poor There was no SEOThere was no Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIN presence Since then... all the above has been changed. We now are running a very successful affiliate program, with 30% active affiliates. Our email campaigns are sent out on a regular basis and responsible for a large bulk of our revenues.A content hub has well over 200 posts, and is gaining respect for our company as industry leaders.Our website has been totally revamped with compelling copy, much easier to understand what is available, and conversions have increased.A series of landing pages have been tested, resulted in a clear winner with close to 50% conversions. We are continually testing a variety of advertising outlets, most recently focusing on retargeting.We have a well responsive and fairly large facebook fan base, twitter account + company LinkedIn presence I have cultivated relationships with many top ranked bloggers, digital media outlets, and run many flash sales to largely increase customer baseI have been following our google Adwords campaign very closely, making changes, and changing it from ROI negative, to breaking even, to currently ROI positive In the process of implementing SEO plan for the entire site.
