Andrea Lucas has spent most of her architectural career in study of how people live. Focusing on the residential field, she is responsible for the design and management of numerous developments throughout the South East. Her projects range from large scale high-rise multifamily buildings, to single family housing, townhomes and mixed use developments. She has helped numerous firms develop their products and fine tune efficiencies, including work on various hybrid typologies that combine single family principles into high density configurations, helping developers maximize their land use strategies.With over a decade in design, she has performed on award winning residential and commercial projects throughout her career, and continuous to push boundaries as a registered architect in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, Texas and South Carolina.She is graduate of the Savannah College of Art & Design where she honed her creative skills, and through practice and mentorship developed the analytical skills required to run projects of all shapes and sizes.She helps advance the profession of architecture by volunteering in NCARB’s Forms Assembly Subcommittee and serves as the 2023 Secretary for both the AIA|DC Small Firms Exchange (SFx) Committee and Women in Architecture Committee.
