I work at Horizons Unlimited as a project manager, building IIIF-based digital libraries aimed for GLAMs.I'm the former president of Wikimedia Italia, a no profit association for the promotion of free and open knowledge, and I've been in the its Board from 2010 til 2016. In 2014, for several months, I've worked in TwoReads, a startup focused on books and bookshops. I curated the social media (Facebook, blog, Twitter), along with several other tasks and activities (we were a startup :-).From 2010 til 2014, I worked at AlmaDL, digital library of University of Bologna (http://almadl.unibo.it/). I was in charge of AlmaDL Journals (http://journals.unibo.it/), a digital publishing service for UniBo professors and researchers. I published and managed around twenty open access scientific and academic journals, in coordination with the scientific and editorial teams. I also managed the digital collection of ancient text in AMS Historica (http://amshistorica.unibo.it/).From 2008 and 2010, I've attended a Master in Digital Library Learning in the Universities of Oslo, Tallinn and Parma. My original interest in digital libraries sparked a long time ago, when I first met Wikisource, a Wikimedia project which provides a free, volunteer digital library. I have been volounteering there from 2005. Both my BS and Master thesis were focused on the potentiality of wikis in digital libraries, especially mathematical ones. At the beginning, I was just a math student with a passion for books. I graduated in 2007.Even before, I had a thing for books: I started studing math having read too much Jorge Luis Borges. I'm professionally interested in digital libraries, open access, as long as wiki and collaborative systems, collaborative environments. I've good communicative skills (I was a TV host on RAI, I curated social media in both my jobs). I spoke *many* times about Wikipedia, digital libraries and open knowledge.
