André Bear, B.Ed, J.D. (He/Him) is a Nêhîyaw (Plains-Cree) educator and advocate of Inherent & Treaty rights. He’s a Juris Doctor graduate who also received his Bachelor’s of Education with the University of Saskatchewan. In 2023, he received a full-ride scholarship to pursue his LLM or Masters of Law. At 21 years old André was appointed as a special advisor to the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations Canada for the implementation of TRC Call to Action 66.He’s a former director on the Indigenous Bar Association and was most recently was appointed to the board of the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society.
