Andre Castaybert has more than 25 years of experience as a commercial trial court litigator and appellate lawyer, 20 of which were at Proskauer Rose LLP, where he started his career. Andre is experienced in all phases of civil litigation and has litigated many matters from inception through discovery, trial, and appeal, in state and federal courts, and international and domestic arbitration forums. Andre has represented policyholders in matters of officer and director liability, commercial property damage, employee practices liability, financial guaranty, and credit risk insurance. He has also represented high net worth individuals, investors, and financial institutions in matters involving major banks, hedge funds, broker-dealers, in connection with a diverse set of claims including margin and prime broker agreements, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty claims, bank deposits, money-laundering claims and indenture compliance. Andre has represented clients in the pharmaceutical, fashion, toy, music and sports industries in connection with licensing and distribution agreements, royalty, licensing, copyright, trademark, trade secret protection and enforcement, and unfair competition matters.
