Andre has over 30 years of experience in the world of video production. He is an 'all-rounder' having produced videos on five continents and over 80 countries and is capable of filming, editing, scriptwriting, producing and directing. Having lived on four continents (Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America) he has an international perspective and cultural appreciation. After completing a Business Degree in Marketing he started his own video production business where he and his team produced corporate videos, documentaries and religious productions. His company later moved into the production of Interactive CD and DVD-ROM's, followed by online video as the world embraced the internet. Creative Touch Interactive won several awards. In 2004 he and his wife, Penny, helped found the Hope Channel in Africa and helped build the SIDmedia studios in South Africa. Shortly after starting SIDmedia, Andre was elected as the communication director for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Southern Africa - a region comprising 25 countries. After working in television production, radio production, and new media evangelism training for seven years, Andre was elected to work at the Seventh-day Adventist world headquarters, near Washington DC, USA. His main responsibility was to produce video productions for the church headquarters in the communication department. In September 2015 Andre was appointed as the digital media director for the Adventist Review and Adventist World magazines, helping create a platform for digital publications and producing video and interactive content. In 2016 Andre helped launch the Adventist Church's first streaming video channel - Adventist Review TV https://adventistreview.tvIn November 2017 Andre returned to South Africa where he among other things is contracted to Adventist Review. He is the founder of the media company, True South Media, which specialises in film production, documentaries, television and web series, virtual and augmented reality, virtual production, animation and media training.
