I bring an effective combination of operations experience, people management skills, and research expertise coupled with strong business acumen, to the development of robust programs. That mix of skills was instrumental to my having much success in building or enhancing EHS programs for a variety of organizations. By developing QA standards and protocols for safety (i.e.: biosafety, chemical safety), optimizing workflows, and introducing competency-based training programs; I minimize risks for staff, the company, and the public while driving efficiencies in safer work environments. During my professional journey, I developed a deep understanding of the process of drug discovery, from inception through clinical trials and market launch. I’m proud to have had the opportunity to contribute to scientific discoveries and breakthroughs for the treatment of various diseases. As a people leader providing direction to teams of R&D staff, my approach is one of servant leadership that empowers. With a focus on building talent bench strength for the future, I ensure individuals/teams have the training, certifications, and skills required for success. Outside of work, I teach and tutor various courses in the Biological Sciences at the collegiate level, participate as an active board member for 2 Biosafety Committees, participate in educational forums to encourage youth participation in the scientific field, and provide operational oversight as the COO for my music company.
