Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the global commodities (backing plates, shims, accessories and packaging) of multiple plants from United Kingdom, Germany and Romania, focusing on cost reduction. Reporting to Global Senior Manager - United Kingdom. Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies considering the market trends, supplier capabilities and cost-effectiveness. Managing commodities with the ability to change direction according with the dynamics of the business, example: business transfer from supplier A to supplier B, new suppliers implementation, supplier elimination due to low performance or transfer of business from one plant to another. Leading RFQs and quote analysis for supplier’s portfolios, evaluating vendors price competitiveness, reliability, capability, quality, etc. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, to achieve optimal prices, terms and conditions. Leading global commodities strategy implementation. Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives. Monitor and analyse market trends from Europe (Steel orbis - Hot Rolled Coil & Scrap + Cold Rolled Coil), anticipating potential impacts on the procurement landscape. Establish KPIs to measure and track the effectiveness of the procurement strategies. Performing suppliers audits together with quality and technical team, for new supplier implementation. Achieving year over year cost saving including negotiations and value engineering programs. Support improvement of the existing processes, systems, practices and procedures. Escalation point for Supply Chain issues.
