As a FIX Onboarding Specialist, I am working closely with Account management teams, Product Dev teams, Support teams and Sales to understand from a business perspective the client's needs and translating them into a software solution. By using the extensive knowledge of the tool and its micro-components, along with understanding the expected outcome, I build a client oriented solution to match everyone's needs.The role on a day-to-day basis:- involves a lot of external communication with tech teams of clients/brokers and their technology vendors- got involved in various strategic projects ranging from rollout of new functionalities on the platform, system improvements, procedures improvement- Provide FIX Protocol support for multiple asset classes: Equity, Derivatives, FX, FI, Crypto- write SQL queries and procedures for data extraction- helped with automatizing processes by writing certain executing scripts in Javascript, Java, Bash- Migrate client setups and ensure the migration is done transparently (no issues, no regression)- Be in charge with deploying each solution, for each particular counterparty and supervise its rollout from UAT to Prod and afterwards, until successfully handed over for Production purposesWorking on a daily basis with: Jira, Salesforce, XML, Git, Jenkins, Bash, Java, SQL

As developing FIX based plugins for DMA connectivity started more like a pilot project back in 2017, over the time the entire process took a great turnaround, it grew in time and convinced management people that delivering FIX DMA plugins should become a more formalized and stand-alone service provided by our team/engineers.Being the one who had worked on this from the beginning and had the best overview and the most experience in such projects, I became the person to be in charge and continue coordinate the entire process. A part of my newly duties consisted in:• Evaluate efforts for new projects/updates and plan/split the tasks inside the team accordingly• Maintain communication with internal stakeholders and external contacts in order to have a smooth development process (all details are established before starting the project implementation)• Define, formalize and keep updated the development stream process• Structure and create training documentation around all FIX Connectivity Management practices for knowledge sharing and a better understanding of the services• Keep the road-map updated and provide usage information any time being asked (by Sales, PMs etc)• Define new rules with the R&D department for a better code review management and a better experience for the engineersInvestigate, assess, plan and track fixes for production issues related to the plugins in our library• Supervision of team efforts globally• Provide continued team training• Maintain a high quality service delivery by being actively part of the code review and development process• Beside the above, I helped the team to cope with the most complex tasks and/or issues they face as Fix Engineers, by providing guidance based on the experience I accumulated so far. As an IT Specialist within the CVM/CDS (Customer Value management) department, I had the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge regarding many technologies and processes within the telecommunications and marketing field, as I worked with the biggest marketing and contextual offers tool. - Develop web solutions for a multinational company, using ASP.NET Framework (MVC4, WebAPI), HTML5, Bootstrap, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, CSS3;- Maintain the client’s level of satisfaction regarding the solutions we offer for his requirements (for e.g. allowing users to take full advantage of all the features included in the systems, writing instructions, manuals and executing training activities if needed)- Helping in testing new functionalities and providing support during the introduction of new functionalities & the execution of regular operations- Participate in recording user requirements by preparing functional design documentation

I was part of a financial project, a platform where US brokers and traders shared their bonds for sale or exchange. In short, the project was offering a market-neutral IT service and was operating a platform that was providing transparency to mortgage and asset backed markets (financial&trading product). My main responsabilities were: manual data collection, validation and interpretation, especially for bids and offers. Using the Bloomberg Terminal I was comparing and correlating the data received from the trading companies (financial product characteristics) with the raw data we were collecting, in order to maintain the the quality and accuracy of the data stored within the client's platform.The data integrity and data correctness was maintained by using specific queries (MS SQL Server databases), and if any mistakes were found, the data had to be corrected ASAP (manually or by running SQL queries).Also, I had the opportunity to execute and interpret test cases and functional, UI, regression and smoke tests for the software tools that were part of this financial project.

Progress 4GL Training: The main purpose of this training was learning the main principles of OO programming and acquiring knowledge and skills in this particular area of interest (Progress 4GL). We also learned about database design and three-tier architecture. At the end of this period, we had to develop an application that had to reflect the knowledge acquired.
