I'm currently part of the Data Solutions team within the newly created Group Data and Analytics business unit. The new Group Data and Analytics is responsible for identifying the business needs in terms of BI, Data and Analytics, prioritization and build.My role is mix of Management and Solutions Design, sitting in-between the Business and IT - responsible for overall data solutions design and data strategy within the Group.

In this role, I was part of the CIO Data Management team. Despite working for the telecom industry, we deployed solutions for all business related areas, such as service management, global KPIs, network performance and availability, marketing and sales, amongst many others. As part of my role, in the initial period, I was responsible for the reporting/dashboards development stream.During this period I was also responsible for proof of concepts using Oracle Exalytics and a Big Data Appliance, which lead to a new industrialized work-stream in the Big Data and Analytics world. After this, I became responsible for both Reporting and Big Data streams within the CIO Data Management team.During the last period in this role, I was engaged in a long-term, comprehensive Audience Measurement project, with the goal of collecting the raw usage logs from our customers’ setup boxes, process and combine them with CRM and Product data. This then provided full reporting capabilities on top of our video platforms, across Liberty Global’s Pan-European footprint.

Design and implementation of an information management solution with several layers: Staging Area, Operational Data Store, Data Warehouse, Data Marts and an interactive Dashboard for reporting. The goal was to provide ENSA (Angolan insurance company) the means to analyze several KPIs regarding their business. Included activities like integration with the operational core systems, designing and implementing the information management layers, and the implementation of the Dashboard.

Design and implementation of a data layer and interactive Dashboard, in order to provide ENSA (Angolan insurance company) the means to analyze several KPIs regarding the Service Desk response. Included components for data migration, integration with the Service Desk operational system and the implementation of the Dashboard.
