Maintaining of internal/external customer backup systems and ensures data consistency and recoverability. Focuses on continuous operation of our customer's backup environment and the professional interaction with them.Main responsibilities:• Troubleshoot complex issues and provide solutions• Design, innovate, deploy and follow solutions/procedures to improve working process• Implementing changes in the Backup environment• Customer contact on the projects/tasks• Availability and capacity management• Create and implement service improvements• Every-day learn to stay on top of the Backup and Recovery technology

• Ensure high availability of HP customer’s backup infrastructure. • Responsible for backup and restore of customer’s data servers - File system, Database, Mail Servers etc.• Manage tape library platforms, D2D, B2D and Virtual Tape Library technologies.• Configuring and managing backups and restores on different platforms and backup software (Data Protector, Backup Exec, Legato Networker, Net Backup, EVS). • Disk to Disk Backup management. • Troubleshooting Virtual and Physical Library Systems, Autoloaders and Standalone Drives.• Troubleshooting of SAN environment backup devices and servers.• ESX VMWare vSphere hosts management. • Troubleshooting complex network issues.• Troubleshooting complex issues related to operating system such as - Windows, Linux, HP-UX, Solaris.t

• Technical knowledge to resolve a range of incident/problems within a support context• Responsible for backup and storage systems administration and engineering for enterprise class infrastructure• Maintaining of external/internal customer backup systems• Professional interaction with customers • Monitoring customer environments and reacting to significant alerts, incidents and outages within required time• Maintain backup and storage environments for multiple customers and internal systems• Creating, updating and closing customer requests • Resolve support issues and escalating to higher level of support• Interacting with external applications staff to lead troubleshooting methods for all backup technologies• Provision of SAN/Storage service to customers within SLA agreements• Knowledge of SAN/Storage technical infrastructures• Zoning on Brocade, McData and Cisco switches with hosts and storages• Handling hardware calls• Support for enterprise disk arrays, Brocade, McData, Cisco switches and NAS devices• Taking decisions in high risk environments• Good knowledge of HP Data Protector, Symantec NetBackup and BackupExec software• Experience with tape library platforms, D2D and B2D devices• Knowledge of Virtual Tape Library technologies• Knowledge of Windows/Linux server platforms• Storage provisioning for enterprise disk arrays• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and Vmware technologies
