As an Assistant Manager I participated in meeting the companies hiring and training needs while also working on the short and long term planning regarding its goals and projects. As an assistant studio manager at Greenlink my responsibilities include:- Train, motivate, direct, coach and evaluate all studio staff, creating and maintaining teams that are client-oriented and committed to achieving the company goals- Ensure that company policies were are followed by all employees- Hold interviews as part of the screening process when hiring new QA staff for ongoing and future projects- Organize and manage teams of testers to ensure that they deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction- Supervise the studio’s daily operations and provide feedback to team leaders and studio manager- Work closely with the Studio Manager on the implementation of operating policies and procedures designed to accommodate to our client needs and facilitate the company’s growth - Assist and participate in presenting the companies services to new customers

The job presented mostly the same responsibilities as the position I had in Ubisoft. I decided to join the GreenLink Group, as one of its founding members, because the idea of “starting from scratch and growing a company” has great appeal to me. More responsibilities came with this change, given that the company only had 3 people at the start. This included building computers and managing the hardware for various performance tests, which was different from Ubisoft where technical teams would take care of such tasks. I also became a central point of "knowledge sharing" for younger testers as one of the "first and most experienced" employees.During my time at this job I additionally learned how to maintain open channels of communication and good relationships with abroad programmers, artists and producers.

My responsibilities as a tester while working inside a team were to learn the title that is tested, execute test cases as provided in a timely manner, analyze and generalize bugs when required, improve and expand on test cases, have a good level of productivity with minimum supervision, react and adapt to new task, but also to gain good coverage on tasks that have no test cases available. Heavy emphasis was also put on writing grammatically correct bugs in the data base with all necessary information while using testing and project vocabulary. Keeping track of one’s own bugs and of the bugs issued by the team was also valued since it would help streamline some processes.I would also frequently be tasked with providing feedback to the lead tester and/or assistant regarding the tests performed, progress and results. In these situations good knowledge of MS office and the available testing tools were needed.During my time here I've acquired the following skills and knowledge: - Working with a team- Executing the tests as they are presented in the test plan- Identifying and reporting defects according to the project and departmental standards- Ensuring that information entered into the database is not duplicated or invalid- Reporting on daily activity of myself and the team- Ability to understand project terminology, history and design- Understanding of general testing methodologies, processes and terminology
