Administration of the Permit to Work system. TheDP Operator’s responsibility is maintaining the vessel position and to navigate the vessel during transit between wells. Chief Officer on PSV DP2 and AHTS DP2, responsible for cargo operations,cargo plan and ballast, deck maintenance and all paper work afferent to job description.Assisting the Master in exercising effective control over the vessel’s marine operations with due regard for safety of personnel, maintenance of ship’s equipment and protection of the environment. Oversee the maintenance of deck equipment, fire fighting and life-saving equipment, lifting equipment and vessels exterior maintenance.Responsible for ships stability - ensure ship is maintained within normal safe limits, intact and damage stability, shear stress and bending moments. In charge of all cargo transfers including liquid mud, dry bulk, deck cargo operations and ballast.Maintain watertight integrity of the vessel, loading and storage of consumables.Ensure compliance with environmental protection requirements as specified by Company and regulatory bodies. Assist the Master in emergency situations and coordinate emergency drills along with monitoring and evaluation of the deck crew responses acting as OSMIC.Returned to the ship as a Chief Mate after previously working as a DP trainee as requested by ship’s Captain’s.
