I am glad to work for one of the biggest payment gateways in the world. The journey we took in order to create a microservice architecture that will support more than two hundred payment methods raised a lot of challenges and cross-cutting concerns. Shared libraries, logging standards among the services, logging aggregation, security, fault and latency tolerance, distributed tracing, metrics, configuration management, load balancing, service discovery and a very important service accelerator template were just a couple of key factors that we had to consider while we were developing our systems.A CI/CD easy to configure was needed in order to release all of our libraries and services independently at any time. Multiple cloud environments gave me the chance to work with multiple tools of deployment and promotion such as Jenkins, Cloudbees or Ansible Tower.Working with the latest technologies, developing a microservice platform, and at the same time maintaining and adding new features to a legacy gateway, describes perfectly my work at Endava.
