The internship offered the opportunity to learn in depth C, Python, Assembly, PE format for Windows executables and Windows APIs. The main project during the internship was to develop an exploit for a simple C application. The exploit consisted of buffer overflows and ROP chains. During the internship, the team I was in developed a machine learning algorithm, which used semi-supervised learning to interlink and match data. The algorithm was used for matching company data from different data sets, i.e., given two data sets with data about different companies, the algorithm was supposed to find those companies which were referenced.

During the internship, together with a colleague, we have developed a fully functional Android mobile application, using React Native. The app was the mobile interface of the ETI platform, developed by Recognos.
