As a coordinator of External Events Working Group I have to lead a team in order to establish a strategy document to be used in the next 2 years, with the main goal being the development of our external events in Local BEST Group Aveiro. External events are organised by BEST Aveiro to students of University of Aveiro and other european universities.

BEST Aveiro is one of the 95 Local BEST Groups.

BEST Aveiro is one of the biggest students organisations in our University, with more than 60 active members. As Vice-President for Human Resources I manage all the information about our members and the most important their motivation and free willing to embrace our projects with more or less responsabilities (depending if they apply to coordinators or organisers). My motto is that no association can survive without its members. Therefore the members of BEST Aveiro are the engine to our Local BEST Group. Also, the spirit created between the whole management give us strenght to keep going along the way through our mandate. Nothing's possible without them all. Appart from this I also assure a proper representation of the organisation.During the mandate, some of the projects that took place included, among others: a two week long Summer Course on Biomechanics with 22 foreign participants from several European countries, the local round of EBEC (European BEST Engineering Competition), one of the largest engineering competitions in Europe, and Innovation Now, a technological focused event that include seminars, workshops and a student-run career support job-shadowing initiative that allowed more than 150 students to get in touch with more than 10 companies.
