This role is the continuance of my internship at NOS, but now as an external co-worker.As a Cyber Security Analyst, and being part of a Managed Detection and Response team, I play an important role in the effective implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity programs withinthe organization. My main focusses are vulnerability management, incident response, approvingsoftware installation and implementing cybersecurity best practices. I collaborate with variousstakeholders, like all other IT teams and SOC, to establish a security culture and ensure theprotection of critical information assets.Responsible for the Vulnerability Management by overseeing and analyzing the results of each intervention, making sure that we have the most possible percentage of coverage in our antivirus and other tools and identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities and assess their criticality if they are exploited by threat actors.Monitoring and investigating a range of incidents under the guidance of team leadership, utilizing a variety of security tools.Evaluating the effectiveness of security controls.Supporting information security audits, technology, and assessments.Keeping up to date with emerging threats and evolving security mechanisms and technologies.A key responsibility of our team involves evaluating cybersecurity application solutions, including EPP, EDR, XDR, email security, password management, among other things.
