Andrei Lucas is an accomplished educational leader with over a decade of experience in creating dynamic and inclusive learning environments. As an Instructional Dean, he oversees seven instructional programs and manages complex categorical budgets, including Strong Workforce and Perkins programs. His leadership prioritizes student success, innovation, and community engagement, and he has successfully secured millions of dollars in grants from federal and state agencies, as well as the Department of Defense, ensuring sustainable resources for his programs.In addition to his role as Dean, Andrei is actively involved in community service through his board memberships. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, supporting efforts to help cancer patients and their families, and has held the position of Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Elementary Institute of Science since 2020. Under his guidance, the Institute was named California Nonprofit of the Year for the 79th District in 2022, a recognition secured through a nomination by Assemblymember Akilah Weber for its dedication to providing STEM education to underserved youth. Andrei is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies, focusing on integrating Polynesian cultural wisdom into Western societies, which informs his inclusive and equity-driven leadership approach.
