As an assistant Professor, my primary goal is to educate students on the importance of healthy environments where people live, work or spend their free time. I encourage my students to develop a critical mindset that enables them to evaluate hygiene practices and processes, so that they can make informed decisions that will contribute to the prevention of diseases.My field of expertise is food hygiene with the special research interest in food handlers impact on food safety. I work closely with other experts in the field to develop practical solutions that can be implemented in our communities.I am currently working as an assistant professor at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Sanitary Engineering. I am one of the teachers for at the courses "Hygiene of Premises and Processes", "Food Safety and Technology", "Good practices in food suply chain", "Sampling mehods" and "Trends in environmental health". I am a member of International Association for Food Protection and The European Public Health Association. I also represent Faculty of Health Sciences as an academic member at International Federation of Environmental Health (IFEH) where a served as honorary education liaison officer in 2017-19.
