This section encompasses 38 employees and it's where quality control of the iron components takes place. I was responsible for leading this team and increase the sector’s overall performance. I could help the team with all their difficulties, raise their motivation day after day and we were able to accomplish the main production objective of this area (to clean the "work in progress" for the sector that had been accumulating for over a year). We improved our way to work with each different component and we upgrade our conditions of work to decrease the cycle time for each part. With these methods, we also could decrease our PPM in our client, increasing the quality of the parts we sent.

Aapico Agueda manufactures nodular cast iron parts for the automotive industry and is broken down into three main areas: Fusion, Moulding and Finishing. This program helped me to know the entire production process and allowed me to have some freedom in finding and create some projects. Actually, I got the opportunity to find a problem and start my own project: we had a waste of raw material that caused safety problems. My solution not only made us reutilize the raw material, but also ended the safety problems for the workers.
