I am a Motorman at Jan De Nul Group, where I operate and maintain various machinery on board self-propelled cutter suction dredgers. I have been working in this role for the past month, after completing a 3-month contract on another vessel. I am responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of the engines, generators, pumps, and other auxiliary equipment on board, as well as conducting regular inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting. I have more than 5 years of experience in the maritime industry, with a strong background in mechanics, attention to detail, and team building. I have worked as a Duty Engineer at Northern Tanker Company on bitumen barges for 1.5 years, and as a Motorman on various ships before that. I am currently pursuing my Engineer's degree at Liepaja Maritime College, and I have also studied at Latvia Maritime Academy Maritime school. I am motivated to learn new skills and continuously improve my knowledge and expertise in the maritime field.
