For centuries, our planet has improved our health, beauty, and well-being by providing access to the extraordinary power of its plants. The existing sources of plant-based molecules are agriculture, traditional biotechnology, and chemical synthesis. Unfortunately, they have dramatic consequences: explosive climate changes, unreversible biodiversity loss, and nature degrading pollution. Aplantex’s innovative process does not require large land surfaces, the heavy use of fertilizers and/or pesticides, or complex industrial infrastructures with their customary GHG footprint. Our carbon-neutral production process includes the loop reuse of multiple inputs, is powered by renewable energy, generates no waste, and considerably shortens current supply chains. For the past 15 years, I’ve supported or led laboratory research and environments. I have extensive experience in building and overseeing facilities specialized in the testing and analysis of a variety of molecules to support research, pharmaceutical and clinical studies. This includes ensuring that instrumentation and procedures meet industry regulations and compliances. I am passionate about building flexibility into processes and technology, to optimize the scalability and growth of an organization’s operation while never compromising on efficiency and integrity. During the early part of my career, I earned my doctoral degree in analytical chemistry/mass spectrometry and have continued to contribute to many publications in this field. I was also awarded for my research the Academic Gold Medal issued by the Governor General of Canada.
