The Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential is an objective measure of the experience, knowledge and integrity that is necessary to conduct direct patient care, which provides evidence of an individual’s commitment, competency, and expertise in the patient care technician field.Assist in the provision of patient care under the supervision of the LPN, RN, and Unit Director in the Senior Behavioral Care Unit. Must provide appropriate personal hygiene to patients, deliver clean linen to patient rooms and help with bed changes. Measure and accurately report vital signs, intake and output and weight of patients. Collect and deliver specimens, assist with admission, discharge, transfer and transporting patients. Assist patients in and out of bed and to and from wheelchairs and stretchers. Help in other areas as needed. Assist patients with meals. Utilize infection control and safety policies and procedures. You must work well with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation. Support hospital mission, vision and values, as well as all policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned
