Hey there! I'm André, a multidisciplinary designer from Portugal with a wide knowledge in Design Systems and modular design, and the intersection of design and development. My creative journey began with childhood adventures using pens, LEGO, and play dough to build spaceships. Initially, I dreamt of becoming a paleontologist, inspired by Jurassic Park. But everything changed when I discovered Overhaulin' and saw Chip Foose transform cars with just markers and pencils. That was my "aha" moment—I wanted to be a designer!In high school and college, I shifted my focus from car design to web design, embracing the digital revolution. I took front-end development courses to enhance my skills, learning to code and constantly evolving. However, I felt drawn back to my true calling—design. Over the years, I’ve worked across a range of industries such as fintech, banking, insurance, energy, e-learning, tech, and sustainability, helping startups and forward-thinking companies craft user-friendly, memorable experiences. My projects span branding, UX/UI, web design, and design systems, allowing me to blend creative solutions with functional strategies. This unique combination of skills has enabled me to collaborate with diverse teams and deliver designs that solve real-world problems while connecting with audiences.Looking ahead, I aim to expand my impact by partnering with startups in health, sustainability, and tech—industries I deeply admire for their potential to create meaningful change.
