The Mission of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is to serve, protect, and defend the community while preserving the rights and dignity of all. - Patrolling assigned areas to detect and monitor possible criminal activity and interrogate suspicious persons.- Investigating incidents for civil or criminal law violations.- Apprehending and arresting suspected law violators to ensure public safety.- Responding to emergency calls to provide assistance.- Preparing and preserving evidence in accordance with directives to maintain chain of custody.- Testifying in court to provide an accurate account of investigation findings.- Providing information and assistance to the public.- De-escalate volatile and tense situations.- Transporting arrestee/s to jail and/or medical facilities (Hospital) in case of medical treatments.

- Assist the Office Administrator and other office staff members in various areas of the office including billing, posting payments, medical records, and other administrative tasks.

- As a Customer Service Crew Member I was trained not only in the customer service responsibilities that include preparing and issuing tickets, computing fares, checking baggage, working at the ticket counter as well as the arrival and departure gates etc.; but I am also trained as a Ramp Agent ensuring the safety of the passengers by loading and unloading baggage and cargo. Directing the aircraft to and from the gate, ensuring the on-time departures of aircraft, and operating the ground equipment are some of the responsibilities that are required of the Ramp Agents. As an airline employee working at the airport, one of our duties is to ensure that all persons entering secure areas are authorized to be in that area and that they are possessing the valid identification allowing them to be in the secure area.

- From September of 2006 to March of 2009, I was a licensed Florida Real Estate Agent. Florida requires that Real Estate Associates be registered with an office in order to conduct real estate transactions, but each associate works independently and is responsible for paying transactions fees, broker fees, dues, membership to the office they are affiliated with. - As a Real Estate agent working independently I was responsible for obtaining new home listings, marketing homes for sale as well as obtaining potential buyers and working with the buyers to find the home that suited their needs. This job required the self-motivation to network and meet new contacts and follow-up with these contacts when necessary.- Responsible for obtaining and marketing new home listings as well as assisting the home buyer in the process of buying a new home.

- Began working in the customer service department of the IPB unit which is the unit that is responsible for the international customers of Citibank. While working in customer service I was able to help train new employees of the unit and assisted other units when interacting with our customers.- Process accurately and in a timely manner transfer requests and other financial transactions received by our unit from our International clients. This requires an intimate knowledge of bank guidelines in order to prevent fraud.

- Provide personalized service and understand the needs of the Citibank customer. This required a thorough knowledge of the various products and services that Citibank offers.- Trained new personnel of the IPB unit.- Working as a financial processor required attention to detail and accuracy as I was responsible for the processing in a timely and accurate manner of the requests for financial transfers and other financial transactions received from our international clients. This required not only a thorough knowledge of Citibank products, but also a complete understanding of bank guidelines and Federal Regulations to prevent fraud.

- As a Lieutenant in the Colombian Army, I commanded a company of 170 men in various missions while stationed at military stations throughout the country. I was the commander of an Elite Special Group (Grupo Especial Furia) made up of 15 members responsible for fighting the narco terrorist; directly attacking their operations that threatened national security. This group was under the direct command only of the commander of the battalion or the head of operations. - While commanding the special group in the anti-narcotics missions the information I had to analyze, included local area maps, photographs, and intelligence, in order to complete successful drug raids, surrounding the correct house, arresting the proper person, preventing the disposal of evidence and working with the intelligence specialist to determine the validity of the information obtained from the informants.
