I picked up programming at 12 and since then I've been dedicating myself to learning and employing a wide array of technologies to develop software in vastly different contexts and in many different ways; monolithic backends and microservices, static and templated websites, web applications (SPAs), mobile apps, desktop apps, system tools, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), among a few others.The lesson I've most come to value from that experience is to focus on writing software that's robust above all ‒there's enough half-working software out there that gets rewritten every couple of years‒ even in the face of moving requirements. With that solved, it becomes easy to focus on the more visible aspects of the software, such as delivering value through clear and consistent UX.On the other hand, experience has also taught me that good software is no good if you aren't developing something your users actually want, and it is to that end that I always strive to plan software development around clear communication channels to both stakeholders and end users.I'm always looking for interesting side-projects that might grow into something more.
