Focused on providing transactions (M&A/corporate finance/transaction services) related services in areas such as: valuations, mergers and acquisitions and financial due-diligence. Advisory work involved performing diverse activities like: Origination and business development at C level, research on acquisition targets and buyers; analysis of acquisition/disposal alternatives; preparation of memorandums; financial modelling, financial projections/forecasts and financial due diligence. Participated in several acquisition/mergers across Latin America including important cross border and cross industry deals.

The activities undertaken included: Financial analysis, Tracking of progress and accomplishment of relevant deadlines, communication and coordination of the resolution of specific issues at the local levelInvolvement in the implementation of PwC’s global strategic framework as part of the Global Geographies team by undertaking the following tasks: Research of external issues affecting the firm’s strategy such as macroeconomics, regulations and clients behaviour.Financial analysis of international mergers and acquisitions trends for the Retail and Consumer Products industries. This task involved researching industry information such as Analyst and Industry reports, think-tank papers, analysis of financial statements, business valuations among others.

Delivery of investment banking / consulting projects to middle size and small companies (start-ups) in Norway and Colombia in areas such as: Fundraising, valuations, business plan preparation, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, start-up processes, financial planning, valuation, investors/finance search and investment appraisals.Part of the founding management team responsible for business planning, fundraising and partnership building. Team efforts resulted in raising USD$ 1M of seed capital and strong institutional support and advice from the Norwegian government agency Fredskorpset. Business development activities, which involved partnership building, research and marketing; resulted in client relations and revenue generation of USD$ 500K from corporations in the IT services, software development, internet and exports sectors in Colombia and Norway.

AIESEC member since 1995 having held different full time and part time position in Colombia and Sweden. During that period of time I attended to several national and international training conferences in locations such as: Ecuador, Dominican Republic, South Africa, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Slovenia. My main achievements in the organization are related to the placement of more than 120 international students in internship programs in top companies in Colombia and Sweden and for companies worldwide.
