Leading the execution of Quant’s transformation plan and manage the temporary region Other. Part of the executive management team (EMT). Region Other was created for countries of subcritical size where strategic alternatives were be evaluated. Region Other contained Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Malaysia, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. The Latvian operations were sold to local management. The remaining countries were wound down and liquidated.Achievements• Completed the transformation in 12 months, ahead of the 18-month projected timeline• The transformation delivered the projected EBITDA improvements through optimization of Quant’s overhead and regional structure, and the closing down of Region Other• The transformation project was completed on half the projected budget

I was actively following and trading financial markets (FX & Commodities), both commercial flows and proprietary trading. Managing the global hedge book (32bn SEK) providing macro analysis to sector CFOs and group purchasing. Tasked with bringing the competences of Treasury to the business, mainly in commodity risk management. Later also responsible for the Group’s bank contacts.Achievements• Initiated competence sharing between group purchasing and group treasury which led to new ways of managing commodity risk• Met and surpassed proprietary trading budget during financial crisis

I managed the front office of a Treasury department consisting of four people covering the entire international group. Responsible for corporate finance, cashflow forecasting and risk management (strategies for FX and IR hedging), managing the in-house bank (internal lending, netting), budgeting and follow-up for financial items, loan administration for 900m EUR Senior/Second Lien/Mezzanine/PIK loan facilities.

Analysis of the Swedish equity market. Ran a project to screen small cap market equities with extensive analysis, which lead to AP2 investing in certain companies.
