Responsible for the financial operations for the following legal entities:- the Global European Head Quarters for AkzoNobel Decorative Paints (annual revenues € 800m- the Manufacturing and Marketing & Sales Units for Decorative Paints in The Netherlands- the AkzoNobel Decorative Coatings retail chain in The Netherlands (50+ shops).The financial operations comprise of R2R, P2P and O2C operations for which the main parts of the processes are executed from shared service centres in India and Poland. The Global European Head Quarters a.o. handles around 10,000 supplier invoices per months for 20 countries in 10 different currencies.

Responsible for a project to improve and optimise Record2Report processes in the EMEA region (20 countries) of AkzoNobel Decorative Paints division executed from Shared Service Centers in Poland and India.The main project deliverables were:- representation of the Accounting & Reporting function in a EMEA-wide SAP project to achieve a.o. a fully automated interface between SAP and the reporting system (Hyperion) for 26 operating companies in EMEA.- identification and documentation of differences between Statutory Reporting and IFRS reporting for 19 operating companies.- assessment of multi-gaap accounting in SAP for 11 countries and oversee changes needed in order to have the monthly income statement also available in accordance with local GAAP.- implementation and/or reinforcement of various R2R policies and procedures.- develop and implement central monitoring of various SAP reconciliations and similar "SAP Housekeeping activities" in the Accounting & Reporting function.- ensure continous alignment between the Accounting & Reporting function of the division and some of the major (corporate) projects in AkzoNobel.

Responsible for the finance & administration function for mobile and broadband businesses (EURO 700m annual revenues, 1200 employees) managing a team of 50. Direct report to CFO.Responsibilities:Finance operations, Internal Control, Tax and Treasury functions for both mobile and broadband business units as member of the core management team.Achievements:- Successful disposal of Orange Netherlands to Deutsche Telekom for EURO 1.3 billion. Played a significant role in the vendor due diligence on the finance and tax matters.- Implementation cash and working capital management.- Transformation of accounting function towards a shared services centre model.- Implementation of IFRS and Sarbanes Oxley compliant fixed assets administration including redesign of the Fixed Assets Register in SAP.- Successful completion of company-wide SOX compliance project and embedment of SOX from a project approach to “business as usual”.- Continuous realization of corporate targets on working capital reduction and cash flow.- Project manager for the merger of Orange Nederland N.V. with its fully owned subsidiary Orange Retail B.V.
