While embedded at Microsoft, I led cross-functional teams and programs that were responsible for innovation, development and day-to-day operations of high-profile/high-traffic, enterprise-scale marketing web properties —Senior Technical Project Manager, Microsoft Office Marketing PMG (Office.com)January 2015 – December 2015I drove the development, production and QA teams that were responsible for the flagship marketing/pre-sales site of Microsoft Office (products.office.com) — one of the most heavily visited marketing websites in the world — and the site-relaunch tied to the worldwide release of Office 2016.Team Lead / Senior Technical Project Manager, Microsoft Enterprise Audience MarketingJuly 2013 – December 2014I led an international team of developers, designers and project managers that created new interactive experiences and features for the Microsoft Enterprise web presence (microsoft.com/enterprise) that targeted worldwide corporate audiences, and the localized subsidiary sites of over 70 countries. My team also developed and launched the original web and mobile landing experiences for the global multi-channel "One Microsoft Cloud" campaign (microsoftcloud.com)

As an independent consultant, I provided corporate, non-profit and agency clients with expertise in user experience (UX) design, visual design/branding, web/interactive development and digital marketing strategy. Clients included Genzyme/Sanofi, Pacific Northwest Gigapop, Power Support International, Timlin Enterprises, Cascadia Review and Superstitious Films.

In this role, I led marketing and audience development activities for television content across multiple distribution platforms and mediums, including web/digital, broadcast, and print/display while also actively contributing in the trenches as a hands-on designer and developer to the creation of multi-channel promotional assets ranging from web/online properties to on-air television spots.

On top of leading web/digital design, development, and operational activities for these broadcast organizations (see below), I drove and defined the creative direction of design-related activities across multiple mediums including web, television, and print.

For several years I led day-to-day operations of UWTV and ResearchChannel web properties for UW's Streaming Media and Television Technologies (SMVTT) unit, including the flagship video-centric websites, microsites, and supporting social media presences. I also served as the organization’s principal UI/UX designer, information architect, and digital strategist.As part of the organization's research and development initiatives, I was the principal architect of Research1, an online community and social networking platform that enabled researchers and scholars to create a turnkey rich-media web presence to share their work, collaborate with their peers, and directly interact with the public. Because of the recognition the project received for its innovation within the research and educational space, it was supported in part by the National Science Foundation and garnered interest from the international academic and research community.During the early boom years of online and mobile video, I led the launches of content partner presences on iTunes U and YouTube that were among the very first developed by any higher education organization or institution worldwide. ResearchChannel's iTunes U presence alone served up to a million long-form video downloads a month.

During the dot-com boom, I served as the chief creative officer and a managing partner of a boutique web development firm. Long before "digital transformation" became a buzzword, we brought corporate clients including General Electric, Gale Group / Thomson Learning and Aladdin Industries into the digital age.
