• The Operations Department experience an Exodus of operators, and new inexperienced operators been recruited , role and responsibility to “steady the ship” by giving training to DCS Operators and Supervisors and even working outside to help “see” and develop training sessions and “toolbox talk” meetings with all shifts involved. By working long hours and days offshore, up to six weeks we minimise plant trips and achieve safety records offshore, yes the team did it!!• Maintained discipline , safety , and housekeeping standards on site, control room, outside workshop ( 5S - SIX SIGMA LEAN )• Implementations of 5S- Housekeeping - Six Sigma Lean• Serve as a mentor for Operations Department and “where needed “ from Operator level to OIM• Recommended administrative actions for trainees• Recommended improved training and Standing Operating Procedures• Advise on utilization of material , facilities and equipment for Continuous Improvement to create a “happy culture”• Update Training KPI and dashboards of improvements of Trainees• Prepare and update attendance register , grade and progress sheet and certifications• Use the DMAIC Business Strategy: Define| Measure| Analyses |Implement |Control• Define the Customer, their Critical to Quality (CTQ) issues, and the Core Business Process involved.• Measure the performance of the Core Business Process involved.• Analyse the data collected and process map to determine root causes of defects and opportunities for improvement.• Improve the target process by designing creative solutions to fix and prevent problems.• Control the improvements to keep the process on the new course.
