Master's thesis project:Title: Detection of Copy Number Variation in the LuCamp Data Set and Subsequent Association Study.Project description:The aim of the project was to detect copy number variations (CNVs) within the LuCamp data set comprising of individuals with type 2 diabetes and a control group, and to investigate whether some of these structural variations could be associated with type 2 diabetes. The project involved:• Developing the pipeline of the project using an UNIX/Linux based environment.• Various statistical analyses and visualisations using the R programming language.• Detection of CNVs in a case/control data set (NGS data).• Developing of a metric in order to improve the specificity of the obtained CNV genotype data set.• Quality control of the obtained CNV genotype data set.• Association study using a burden test approach.
