I have been working with computers since a young age. I started in the AFA Cyber Patriot program, where a team is giving an insecure machine with content that may either be harmful or against company policy. This program played a significant role in my understanding of computers and familiarized me with console level interaction. I began learning through my own personal projects where I tinkered with anything from circuitry to SQL injections. Since arriving at university, my personal projects have matured to more practical solutions to everyday problems. Currently I am tinkering with persistence learning models to train AI to play the videogame Pokémon Red without any prior knowledge of the game. I am also working on a a news site web scraper that quickly queries a site and uses pretrained language models to summarize large amounts of articles for easy consumption. It is planned to implement a feature to calculate source bias and author bias using a large database of scraped articles.
