In parallel I worked on next generation construction methodologies, additive manufacturing and opportunities for WILA to re-establish itself as the most forward thinking downlight brand globally. Nordeon Group acquired WILA in 2016.

Inventor and designer of a next generation lighting system, Linic NX. The emphasis of the new system was to vastly improve user experience for the installer, sales team, lighting designer and architect.Changing the perception of a product being merely a physial artefact, I worked closely with internal and external stakeholders to create a digital configuration tool. I worked across all areas of the group to map the customer journey and flow of information through the business. This greatly improved the service offering, aligning both design and business thinking.Linic NX features patented electro mechanical connections, quick install light modules and construction techniques taken from the automotive industry to reduce assembly times. Integrated 'light shutters' eradicate light bleed, an issue associated on all other lighting systems on the market. Linic NX is protected under European patents.

Lead designer for a bespoke downlight range requested by a large OEM customer. The critical aspect was aligning the design process with the commercial opportunity. Working closely with the customers design team I managed a rapid development cycle. Concept to CNC machined pre production run in 6 months met the need for an early product launch. Production specification product followed 3 months later. The result was a low cost but very high quality downlight range for the European and Middle Eastern markets.

I was the lead designer and inventor for the highly acclaimed Fusion and Plaza ranges of LED floodlights. The Fusion range defined acdc as a leading manufacturer of external luminaires and generated significant revenue in the Middle East, Europe and the US. Fusion is protected under European and US patents.
