Lead the Test and Evaluation program while standing up the Maritime Targeting Cell - Afloat program of record in PEO IWS. The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard is the largest public shipyard in the United States. It is responsible for the planning, execution, and certifying of complex projects to maintain and modernize nuclear powered submarines and aircraft carriers.As a Project Officer I am responsible for safely maintaining cost and schedule for a variety of AORs while meeting strict compliance with technical and QA requirements. This includes:1) Planning work strings for non-stop execution within resource constraints.2) Verifying preparation of worksites, guidance, and materials to prevent delays.3) Maintaining personnel radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable.4) Verifying proper QA and documentation.5) Analyzing metrics to detect and correct issues before they impact work.As a Docking Officer I am responsible for the safe and timely docking/undocking of nuclear vessels in the shipyard drydocks. This includes:1) Verifying all drydock conditions and technical plans.2) Verifying all docking calculations to include stability, clearance, line loading, and seismic safety.3) Verify functionality of all infrastructure and machinery.4) Ensure proper communications among all team members.5) Take ultimate responsibility for the safe conduct of the operation.

I completed a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with focus on defense cyber operations and satellite communications. I also received the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association's (AFCEA) Wozencraft award for academic achievement.My thesis was titled "Temporally Adjusted Complex Ambiguity Function Mapping Algorithm for Geolocated RF Signals". In essence I reformulated the CAF to account for signal changes over time and mapped the resulting surface to geographic coordinates to reveal the emitter location. I then wrote a MATLAB simulation to verify the algorithms functionality and geolocation accuracy.

The mission of the Navy's Nuclear Power School is to train officer and enlisted students in the science and engineering fundamental to the design, operation and maintenance of naval nuclear propulsion plants.The naval nuclear program is widely acknowledged as having the most demanding academic program in the U.S. military. Academics proceed at a rapid pace with high academic standards enforced in all subjects.While stationed there I instructed students in mathematics, electrical system theory and operations, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics. I was also responsible for mentoring young students in academics and military responsibilities to give them every opportunity to succeed. I was certified as a Navy Master Training Specialist and an exam writer, and also given responsibility for course development.

SDL works with the Department of Defense and industry in defending and protecting our nation as well as supporting NASA’s vision to “reveal the unknown for the benefit of humankind.”While working at SDL I worked on:1) An AFRL test satellite where I developed software for Command and Control, debugged hardware, and developed both S-band and UHF communications links.2) A NASA space environment sensors where I worked with the electronics design engineer and was responsible for sourcing required parts.3) A modular smallSat bus for Sandia National Laboratory where I was responsible for developing CONOPS and assisting the Systems Engineer in developing integrated planning documents, presentations for stakeholders, and holistic design development.

As the teaching assistant in a Space Systems Engineering course I taught students how to use Satellite Tool Kit (STK) to visualize and analyze various Earth Orbits. I also facilitated weekly labs to improve student's understanding of difficult concepts and graded and recorded student assignments.
