Initially hired as an Executive Director, I was promoted into this newly-created role to accommodate a change in the Board of Directors' structure from an operational perspective to a policy-oriented governance model. In doing so, I led, motivated, and energized both 9 direct and indirect reports.IMPROVEMENTS & INNOVATIONS* I introduced quarterly financial reports along with new financial controls and policies to elevate RO's professional presence in the community.* I transformed RO's culture from a silo-based model to a team-focused entity where SME's in their given career vocations could now embrace RO's mandate of delivering top-quality services to more than 10,000 members province-wide.* By devising RO's first-ever strategic planning process, I aligned as many as 15 Board members, 5 employees, and a multitude of committee members towards a common vision of expanding RO's presence across Ontario.* I conceived a staff-engaged annual operational planning process that - in 1 instance - vaulted student participation over 600% (i.e., from 2,500 to 16,000) in 2015.* I instituted a yearly performance review process that clearly defined personal development initiatives and goals for staff members.* Finally, I sought out High Performance industry experts to infuse operational congruity across 10 programs that had functioned independently in the past.REVENUE GAINS, COST SAVINGS, & ADDITIONAL* In just 2 years, I secured over $0.2 million worth of new grants and sponsorships.* As well, I saved $10,000 in operational costs by adjusting communications strategies that contributed to staff tripling from 3 to 9 (plus additional yearly interns and Summer students).* In addition, I abolished external referee costs of $68,000 by bringing this function in house and reallocating these expenses. * Finally, I averted operational downtimes despite a relocation about 2 km away.

Originally brought on as a Referee Development Coordinator, I stepped into the Operations Coordinator position just 18 months later with the dual intent of (1) reversing formerly-slow turnaround times and (2) managing the Organization's Insurance Broker RFP process valued at $0.5 million. In my final role, I was promoted to convert our departmental structure so it aligned with new Canada-wide guidelines.* During the second year of my tenure, I attracted $50,000 worth of new grants.* I also launched and rolled out a High Performance Referee Development Academy that equipped Provincial-level referees to qualify for National program consideration by engaging and involving sought-after industry experts.* Furthermore, I envisioned a 3-year department plan linked to the OSA's Strategic Framework to set the stage for immediate and long-term growth. * Finally, the CEO singled me out for 2 years in a row to lead a 7-person team in planning and organizing a yearly conference that attracted 500 members throughout Ontario.
