In September 2014, I was seconded onto the Senior Leadership Team, as a result of successfully improving the Science department to one of the highest performing departments within the academy. As a Director of Learning, I have taken on a range of whole school responsibilities that include being the Raising Standards Leader, line managing both the ICT and the Humanities faculty and the Data manager. I have supported the Principal in improving the quality of teaching and learning across the academy. Recently, I have begun to support departments outside of Oasis Academy Hextable, such as mentoring the newly appointed Head of Science at Oasis Academy Enfield and supporting Leigh UTC, until a new head of science is to be appointed.
