I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology. While attending school, my goal was to learn the skills needed to become an Entry level Community Outreach Coordinator. I served as the community customer support contact for a local business where I identified and resolved issues, built relationships with customers in the community and solidified trust. This required planning and coordinating responses to customer requirements and helping maintain a favorable public image for the business. I was also hired as an intern for Marvel Entertainment. I accepted the position to improve my data analysis skills and understand how to connect with cross functional leaders of an entertainment company while building effective communication and data management skills. My first part time position during my freshman year, I learned how to plan effective strategies, encourage loyalty and schedule presentations with potential clients in the community as a sales person. I positioned products as solutions for customer needs and generated $10,000 in sales during a summer. Community outreach involves providing services of a specific expertise to a group of people who may not otherwise have access to those services. My goal has been to acquire the skills needed to secure a position as an Entry Level Community Outreach Coordinator. I am committed to expanding the resources available to underprivileged communities.
