  • Deep Lens
    Product Manager
    Deep Lens May 2019 - Jan 2023
    Columbus, Ohio, Us
[Acquired by Paradigm] Deep Lens, a start-up focused on disrupting clinical trial enrollment by identifying the right patient, for the right clinical trial, at the right time.I joined the Deep Lens team with less than 10 people establishing end-to-end product management, research and execution practices. Our customer research and development was grounded in capturing feedback early and often with customers (over 300 sessions with customers in 3 years). Interviewing, observation, story-mapping, personas and prototyping. Core to our success was involving our engineers early in the discovery to unlock creativity and validate technical feasibility. Along with this we established the appropriate planning practices to accurately size/roadmap and iteratively deliver new products and features early. Conducted company wide show and tells (bi-weekly), to establish a learning environment around the problem space and the features that would contribute to the goals of the company. This invited discussion about our products into the the open, and closed the loop on assumptions addressed through feedback. As the company grew, so did the portfolio of products we offered. I worked with the VP of Technology and Founders to establish discovery timelines to validate and plan those new offerings. (Pathology Research Forms Workflows, Clinical Pathology Multidisiplinary Tumor-boards, Molecular/Genomics Reflex Testing, Clinical Trials Matching, Active Trials Analytics and Dashboarding, Feasibility Insights and Analytics)
