In addition to helping athletes directly, I work with coaches, teams, and parents of athletes. As a former Division I collegiate athlete, professor of Sports Psychology, and licensed therapist, I bring several perspectives to my work as a mental performance coach. Having played D1 soccer at Columbia University, I know firsthand the stress, anxiety and burnout that the pressure of competitive athletics can cause. As a professor, I have created a detailed curriculum to teach these mental performance tools and concepts in a way that athletes can understand and apply them. Finally, my experience as a licensed therapist gives me a keen understanding of people, how pressure affects each person differently, and how to help people overcome their mental obstacles and be successful.I’ve worked with athletes across all sports, ability levels, and ages - from middle school baseball players, to semi-pro soccer players, to adult downhill mountain bikers, just to name a few. I also work with parents of athletes, because it’s challenging to find ways to support your son or daughter in a way that helps more than it hinders. Show less
