Among the cases handled were defense of class actions, recovery of $12 million from an MSO through dissolution of an injunction, recovery of $17.6 million from an MSO on counterclaim for conversion and civil theft, Medicare and ERISA claims, enforcement of restrictive covenants and defeat of efforts to enjoin client from terminating provider contracts. I have also handled disputes arising out of both failed and completed mergers and acquisitions involving allegations of confidentiality breaches, misappropriation and interpretations of merger agreements. I have handled close to 200 appeals in Florida state and federal court including the Supreme Court of Florida. My practice includes representing lawyers and bar applicants in disciplinary proceedings or admission cases. Among the more celebrated professional responsibility case representations were Hank Adorno (involving individual settlement of a putative class action), Hugh Rodham (Pardongate at the end of the Clinton presidency), WJH (McDuffie cop admissions case) and Jeremy Alters (reversed emergency suspension in expedited proceeding by disproving material elements of Bar's case).
