• Oversee the development of our industry-leading global benchmarking software, bMark. o Manage the full lifecycle of functionality enhancements from content development, design, bug testing, and rollout to end-users. o Prioritise project backlog, manage release plan, and integrate feedback from users into requirements. o Author, maintain, and manage documentation and guides for the software. • Primary point of support to our global client base. o Provide technical assistance to bMark users, enabling them fully realise value to their workflows. o Facilitate and deliver workshops and demonstrations of bMark for new users and following new releases. o Enable trials for potential bMark users, introducing them to the software, its workflows, and its value, providing technical support throughout the trial period.• Co-manage a data-driven research team. o Recruit and train team members and plan work schedules. o Research and collate geological, reservoir engineering, and development parameters of oil & gas fields around the world. • Global oil & gas field research for our industry-leading software bMark.o Researched geological and engineering parameters of fields, discoveries, and prospects worldwide.o Developed a classification scheme for geological parameters within our global oil & gas field database to enable consistent recording of data and efficient filtering.o Researched and processed field production data. Working with both static and dynamic data to QC both data types; for example, using decline curve analysis to sense-check estimates of ultimate oil/gas recovery.• Exploration geoscience projects.o Phased evaluation of a major UK unconventional play as part of a shale gas exploration programme. This included analysis of geochemical data, petrophysical analysis, well correlation, and paleo-environmental reconstruction.o Large licence application for UK acreage across multiple basins targeting both conventional and unconventional plays. Undertook resource-in-place estimations through reconnaissance basin analysis.o Resource-in-place calculations for unconventional plays combining property mapping and geo-statistics to take uncertainty into account.• Supporting reservoir engineering projects.o Provided geological input to reservoir engineering projects; for example, mapping faults to explain connectivity issues in a mature North Sea field.o Developed depositional environment classification schemes for fields around the world to identify the best analogues in recovery factor benchmarking studies.

Working within Centrica Energy Upstream I was supporting the G & G community in a range of ways. Examples: Wireline log depth matching and splicing of logging runs using Geolog, Well data loading to OpenWorks, Petrel and ODM (Coordinates, deviation surveys, well logs, core data, checkshot surveys, well test results and casing information), OpenWorks project creation and upkeep, Petrel project organisation and management of master reference projects, Seismic loading to Petrel and Kingdom and ArcGIS mapping.

Working on well data cleanup projects in DataCo's Aberdeen office. This involved an initial data mining phase from various sources followed by a collection, collation and verification to form a single source of well data for the well. A large part of this process was creating a set of, checked and depth corrected, joined well logs for the whole logged interval from individual logging runs. It also involved collection and verification of: coordinates and deviation surveys, casing information, time depth checkshot surveys, core and core analysis data, DST/RFT/FMT testing and perforated intervals. This would then be loaded to the company's corporate database and an audit trail documenting all edits and processes would be created for the client.
